Church Street Walkway Consultation The walkway that runs from Church Street to Penuel Lane has been highlighted as an area that attracts anti-social behaviour.  This behaviour is, street drinking, drug taking, littering and general ASB. The Council are therefore undertaking a public consultation to inform a proposal that would result in the walkway between Church Street and Penuel Lane being closed permanently. 5th January 2026
Funding Safety Together - South Wales Police & Crime Commissioner The Police & Crime Commissioner for South Wales has recently launched her survey, which relates to the amount residents contribute to policing through their Council Tax. Before the Commissioner decides on the police budget in January 2026, she wants to understand the level of support from residents on the proposed options for increases to police funding for 2026/27. Feedback will help the Commissioner decide how to strike a fair balance between providing adequate funding to protect vital services and keep people safe, while also considering affordability for residents. 14th January 2026
