People are invited to show their respects at the Pontypridd Remembrance Parade and Service in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Different to previous years, the occasion will begin with a parade within the grounds of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and a service at the War Memorial in the park. There will be no service in St Catherine’s Church.
The parade will begin from the tennis courts area at 10.35am and make its way around the park, heading up Main Avenue to the Top Avenue that runs along Bridge Street and then down the Back Avenue to the Bandstand and the War Memorial.
At the War Memorial, there will be a two-minute silence, wreath-laying and service led by Reverend Charlotte Rushton of St Catherine’s Church, Pontypridd.
Please note: Parking in all Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Car Parks in Pontypridd is free on a Sunday and the park is within walking distance of the train station and the bus station.
Events experts will be on site at all times and there will be social distancing, hand sanitizers and other safety measures on site to protect everyone. Please ensure you adhere to information signage and instructions from staff throughout the event.
