The Llantrisant school could benefit from Mutual Investment Model (Band B) funding from Welsh Government’s Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme, to deliver a new building and external facilities.
The investment would deliver a two-storey new build which is Net Zero Carbon in operation, on the current school site. The development would replace the existing school buildings by autumn 2023. The school would then be able to accommodate 310 pupils and 45 nursery places.
The wider development would provide a two-court Multi Use Games Area, a playing field and a car park. It would create a stimulating learning environment through brand new internal and external facilities fit for the 21st Century – with some provision for wider community use.
A consultation running between October and November 2021 provided residents with an opportunity to find out more and have their say.
The project received full planning permission from the Council’s Planning and Development Committee in March 2022.
