In July 1995, a special outing had been organised by an Aberdare based day centre as a special treat for its clients and carers.
Sadly, the 52-seater bus overturned on a roundabout near Raglan resulting in the death of 10 people and several people were severely injured.
To commemorate this event, a bench was placed near the top of the gates in Aberdare Park with a tree planted at its centre.
