The Council is completing an engagement exercise to help inform and develop a Tonypandy Town Centre Strategy – which will set out an ambitious and clear vision for the town, and be the blueprint for future investment locally
The process will be hosted on the RCT Let's Talk engagement website, which will include key information, a survey, and a quick poll. The Council's social media channels will promote and encourage engagement

The Planning and Development Committee has granted consent to construct Phase Five of the Rhondda Fach Active Travel Route. This will be the final section of the primary route, a 2.8km section of shared path between Ferndale and Tylorstown
On Wednesday, Cabinet Members amended the proposal for Ferndale House Care Home, instead agreeing to keep it open until new care accommodation in Rhondda Fach is built

The Council will soon begin work on a Welsh Government-funded scheme to reduce the risk of flooding at Plantation Road in Abercynon. Residents will notice site activity starting from Monday, January 27.
Cabinet will consider a draft Budget Strategy proposed by officers following Welsh Government's provisional Local Government settlement, and Members could agree for it to be the focus of the next phase of consultation
