Through the ghost of William Bryant - a former Hirwaun Ironworks worker, this audio trail will give you a fascinating insight into his life and the history of the former iron town, which originated in the 18th century.
William will narrate you around the key sites of this once industrial town, including the Hirwaun Ironworks, Craig Y Llyn and The Brickworks.
The 3.2km walk will start and finish at the Hirwaun Library and takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete. Finish the trail by rewarding yourself with some award winning fish & chips from Penaluna's who are based in the village - a must for anyone visiting the area!
Please note this is a countryside walk, with uneven terrain, including some steep ascents and descents. This walk is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, or people with mobility problems.
