Part of National Cycle Network Route 8, this lovely route runs from Cardiff, through the heart of Rhondda Cynon Taf and ends in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park.

Whether you want an epic trek with a long distance walk or to just enjoy a gentle stroll, cycle or scoot along sections of the route, there Taff Trail has miles aplenty for you to explore. There are plenty of places to stop for food, drink or a comfort break and the trail runs alongside Ynysangharad War Memorial Park (definitely worth a visit!).

The 55 mile route enters Rhondda Cynon Taf in Taffs Well, navigates through Treforest and Pontypridd before exiting the county borough in Abercynon.

The route is mainly traffic free on a dedicated path, though the terrain is mixed in parts.
