For years there have been rumours of dinosaurs still living deep underground and now we need your help to find them!
From Friday 4th August to Monday 7th August 2023, join Ranger Chris at Dinomania - Prehistoric Pit! Search for dinosaur fossils and bones to discover which dinosaurs are underground!
Children (and of course their accompanying adults!) will have the opportunity to meet baby dinosaurs along the way and maybe, with everyone's help, find the King of the Dinosaurs - The T- Rex!
The Dinomania mobile museum will also be on display at the end of each session for our intrepid Dino Hunters to take a look and find out even more about all things dino!
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said:
“It’s fantastic news that Dinomania is coming to A Welsh Coal Mining Museum during the school summer holidays. Our popular tourist attraction has been hired for many TV productions, but this is the first time dinosaurs have paid a visit! As a family venue, we already have the Black Gold Underground Guided Tours which are suitable for all ages, lots of events such as Santa’s Toy Mine, and of course our popular school trip offer. The cafe has a fantastic kids menu and our on-site partners The Chocolate House and Craft of Hearts offer chocolate making workshops and craft classes. There’s always a reason to visit- we’re looking forward to welcoming all our summer visitors!”
Tickets for Dinomania are on sale here.
