Overview
If you have issues with drugs or alcohol use, or have a family member, friend or someone you care for who needs help, you can request support in a number of ways.
We provide support for people experiencing difficulties through the use of substances such as:
- alcohol
- recreational drugs
- prescribed and over the counter medication
- steroid and other performance enhancing drugs
The support you need will differ depending on you circumstances.
You may need emergency help, want some online information and advice or feel that you are ready to request support from us to help you on your recovery journey.

Request support from us
You can request support for yourself, or for someone else by calling the Drug and Alcohol Single Point of Access service (DASPA).
If you are making a request on someone else's behalf you must get their consent to do this.
We will:
- ask you some questions
- allocated you a care and support worker
- assess your needs
- make a plan to help you access support
You may get help from our care and support team along with a number of partner organisations including Barod and Cwm Taf Morgannwg Community Drug and Alcohol Teams.
Support could include:
- one to one support
- physical health assessments
- counselling
- support for family members
- alcohol detox treatment
- residential rehabilitation
- support to make decisions
