Training Courses

The Training and Development Team co-ordinate a variety of training courses to satisfy the training requirements and needs of childcare practitioners focussing primarily on the needs of childcare practitioners working in a RCT Flying Start childcare setting. These courses develop knowledge and skills of practitioners which provide a positive experience for the children within these settings.

We are changing the way in which we operate to ensure that the training opportunities provided are relevant and efficient. Attached are some guidelines that outline the changes. These are applicable to all applicants, therefore all staff members should be made aware of these.

Flying Start practitioners - please read the Flying Start guidance for training.
Other practitioners - please read the external guidance for training.

In addition, in line with the recent implementation of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) we are required to inform you how we collect and store your data for training purpose. All applicants are required to read the attached privacy notice.

Finally, as outlined in the guidelines, due to the high levels of non attendance and late cancellation notices, we have reintroduced penalty fees. As a result, all setting leaders / co-ordinators are asked to agree to pay the penalty fees incurred by any members of staff.
