With trails taking you into the surrounding mountains, bike hire, adventure playground and loads of open space, Barry Sidings Countryside Park is a winner for all ages.
There’s free parking and plenty of places to have a picnic – or bring a barbecue and use the stands that are dotted all around the park.
If you prefer, check out the on-site café, which serves everything from vegan burgers to indulgent milkshakes.(Open 10am to 5pm). Services and access to toilets may be limited as a result of the ongoing Cov-19 pandemic response.
You can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the park and duck lake or venture up into the surrounding mountains and forestry.
