Llantrisant Heritage Walking Trail

llantrisant--heritage-walk

Located in the wonderful town of Llantrisant, once a significant medieval stronghold, this audio trail will give you a fascinating insight into Llantrisant's history.

The trail navigates you around a number of key sites including the statue of the eccentric druid, Dr. William Price, who performed the first legal cremation; to Llantrisant Castle, once 'home' to the unfortunate King Edward II who was imprisoned within the Castle. Pair with the Llantrisant Audio Trail track for more information about the town's history.

The 1km walk will start and finish at the Gwaun Ruperra Car Park and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Couple the trail with a visit to The Model House, a browse around some of the town's shops and a meal in one of the delicious eateries for a great afternoon out.

Please note there is some uneven terrain, including some steep ascents and descents in Llantrisant. This walk therefore may not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, or people with mobility problems.
