On site facilities - Ynysangharad War Memorial Park is home to the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty and Lido Play - the free adventure playground. The park also features Caffi Lido by Cleverchefs, a beautiful bandstand, golf, and of course, public toilets.
Off-site facilities - Cash machines, pubs, restaurants, indoor market and shopping centre (within 10 minutes walk of the park).
Disabled facilities - The event venue is a public park and as such is open to anyone for use during operational hours. There is a tarmac track around the perimeter of the park. Many of the attractions brought in as part of the event are positioned on grass areas, the terrain is very uneven and therefore access for disabled patrons is limited.
RCT Council Events Team does, wherever possible, try to alleviate these issues by utilising the entire park to ensure most elements/attractions can be accessed/seen/heard, but it is worth noting that this is impossible for everything taking place at the event.
Dog Walking - Dogs are permitted, however they must remain on leads in the event areas.
Event Notice - The following items are not to be brought into the event site: laser pens, fireworks, alcohol, any weapon including sharp objects, illegal substances. This list is not exhaustive and security reserve the right to refuse items to be brought onto the event site that are deemed unsafe.
The Big Welsh Bite is a zero alcohol tolerance event and random security checks will take place upon entrance and monitored throughout the day. If found by event security, PCSOs or any police present this will be confiscated. Refusal will result in you being removed from the event.
There will be an Official Council Photographer present through the day and these images may be used on social media or future marketing material to promote the event.
