Armed Forces Champion Councillor Maureen Webber
At Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, our dedicated Armed Forces Team ensures that the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant are actively implemented. Our Armed Forces Champion, Councillor Maureen Webber (Deputy Leader), works to uphold the aims of the Community Covenant. Councillor Webber encourages local communities to support the Armed Forces Community, raises awareness of issues affecting veterans, and ensures that current and former service members are not disadvantaged due to their military service.

Armed Forces Lead Chris Davies
Chris Davies, the Council’s Armed Forces Lead, promotes awareness of the Armed Forces Covenant within the local authority. Chris coordinates efforts, leads working groups to implement Covenant commitments, engages with council partners, and influences policies to consider the needs of the Armed Forces Community. Additionally, Chris encourages businesses and organisations to support veterans through the Corporate Covenant

Armed Forces Liaison Officer Jamie Ireland
Jamie Ireland, the Armed Forces Liaison Officer (AFLO), supports the Armed Forces community, including serving Regulars, Reserves, veterans, and their families. Jamie ensures the implementation of commitments made in the Armed Forces Covenant, promoting fair treatment and support for those who have served. As a crucial link between military organisations and other entities, the AFLO facilitates effective communication and collaboration.
