The Police and Crime Commissioner is consulting on how much residents would be willing to contribute towards the police precept for 2019/20.
Police precept is the amount paid as part of council tax and is used towards paying for local policing services. Contributions towards the police precept are an essential part of police funding without which it would be impossible to maintain a police service that effectively and efficiently responds to resident’s needs.
