Free, public access wi-fi in libraries, improvements to theatres and a £0.5M investment in enhancing the visitor offer at the popular Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park, are all being supported by the Council’s RCTinvest programme.
All of the Council’s libraries now have free public access wifi making it easier for people to get online and become digitally active. RCTinvest is also funding other improvements in some of the council’s libraries.
Half a million pounds is to be invested to improve the visitor offer at the Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park, building on the success of Lido Ponty and the Royal Mint Visitor Centre and helping to promote RCT as a great destination for tourists.
Investment in both the Park and Dare and the Coliseum Theatres will see a number of benefits for theatre-goers, improving the experience when visiting to see a show or a performance.
