The Council would like to reassure residents and visitors that the Dare Valley Gravity Family Bike Park will continue with a new supplier after May 9, following the recent announcement from Pedalabikeaway that it will no longer operate the facility after this date.
The current provider made the decision that it would not continue with the current offer at the park, and subsequently informed the Council.
Users of the popular attraction will experience very minimal disruption to the current bike park facility when the operator changes next month.
Dare Valley Gravity Family Bike Park is the first family bike park in Wales and is specifically designed for families, beginners and intermediate riders to enjoy. There has never been an intention to expand its current tracks – particularly as Bike Park Wales offers its mountain biking experience nearby.
Dare Valley Country Park is also an important area for wildlife and there are biodiversity considerations in relation to expanding the Dare Valley Gravity Bike Park tracks.
We would like to thank Pedalabikeaway for their continued hard work in running the fantastic facility, and again reassure residents and visitors that there are no plans to end or reduce the service going forward.
