Sixth form learners and college students across Rhondda Cynon Taf are receiving their examination results from Thursday morning (August 17), joining pupils across Wales on Results Day.
Year 13 students will be visiting their school or college to receive their A-Level results – while it’s also an important day for learners receiving results for A/S Level, the Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate and Level 3 vocational qualifications.
The Council’s Cabinet Member for Education has this morning sent a message of congratulations and thanks to all learners, school staff, and parents/carers.
Councillor Rhys Lewis, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Youth Participation and the Welsh Language, said: “Well done to all learners across Rhondda Cynon Taf who are receiving their results today, which is the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication to your studies and education.
“It’s fantastic to see lots of happy faces at our schools today, as learners rightly celebrate their successes. On behalf of the Council, congratulations and good luck on your next steps – whether these are in further education, training or employment.
“On A-Level Results Day, it’s also important to thank all school staff for your invaluable commitment to the education of our young people each day. Finally, thank you to all of the parents and carers across Rhondda Cynon Taf for the contribution to your child’s education and support provided to your school community.”
