Initial preparatory work to upgrade the drainage infrastructure near Llwyncelyn Road in Porth will begin next week.
The scheme will be contained to the rear of the former fire station and the Beatus Cartons factory – and will cause minimal disruption locally.
Residents may notice the advanced clearance works starting in the week commencing Monday, August 7.
This will be followed by the commencement of the main scheme a week later, from Monday, August 14.
The main scheme will improve the existing assets – including enhancing the watercourse channel, installing a new inlet headwall, and introducing new debris control measures.
The Council has appointed Peter Simmons Construction as the contractor to deliver the scheme, which will last up to eight weeks.
The scheme is being funded through Welsh Government’s Resilient Roads Fund.
Thanks in advance to the community for your cooperation.
