Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is pleased to announce the annual calendar of events for 2023.
Last year saw the return of many favourites such as the Big Welsh Bite and Nos Galan Road Races, with residents and visitors turning out in their thousands to celebrate and enjoy all that was on offer.
The calendar starts as always with Easter Egg-stravaganza at A Welsh Coal Mining Experience, Rhondda Heritage Park and culminates with the epic, world renowned Nos Galan Road races in Mountain Ash on New Year’s Eve.
Aberdare Festival returns in the Spring, while the Summer season features Teddy Bears’ Picnic and the enormously popular – and very tasty - Big Welsh Bite. This year we also celebrate the centenary of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park in Pontypridd so look out for some special celebrations for that landmark anniversary at the Big Welsh Bite.
Councillor Maureen Webber, Deputy Leader of the Council said: "It was wonderful to welcome events back to our parks, open spaces and venues in 2022. 2023 promises to be another fantastic year and we look forward as always to welcoming residents and visitors and celebrating special occasions such as the centenary of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park. Our events calendar is, as always, varied and filled with events for all ages.
We’re also very pleased to welcome Nathaniel Cars as event sponsors for the second year running."
Further information on all these events will be released in due course via social media. Please follow @whatsonrct on facebook, twitter and instagram for latest updates.
