Remember to renew your residential parking zone permit

parking permit renew

Residents who live in a residential parking zone are reminded to renew their annual parking permits before the current expiry date of March 31, 2023 – and the renewal process can now be completed in advance.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council issues approximately 3,000 permits each year to residents that live in a designated residential parking zone. Residents must renew their permit for the following financial year, and all current permits will expire in less than two months’ time. They will need to be renewed before the deadline on Friday, March 31, to be used from April 1 onwards.

Residential parking zones are areas designated by the Council where, without the use of permits, local residents would find it very difficult to park near their homes. This could be due to there being only a small number of spaces available, or because vehicles not belonging to residents are often parked in the local area. A full list of parking zones is available on the Council’s website.

The process to renew all of the permits on time is a significant one, and the Council is therefore asking residents to apply for their renewal as soon as possible. This will ensure that all new permits can be returned on time.

The quickest and easiest way to renew a parking permit is on the Council’s website – at www.rctcbc.gov.uk/parkingpermitrenew. The entire process, including payment, can be completed through this avenue. As an alternative, residents can request a paper application form by calling 01443 425001.
