Learners across Rhondda Cynon Taf have been receiving their AS, A Level, Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate and Level 3 vocational qualifications results today (Thursday, August 15), with many gaining University places to further their educational studies.

Among those congratulating the successful learners and school staff was Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Inclusion and Welsh Language, Councillor Rhys Lewis, and the Council’s Director of Education and Inclusion Services, Gaynor Davies.

Councillor Rhys Lewis, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Cabinet Member for Education, Inclusion and Welsh Language, said: “On behalf of the Council, I would like to pass on our congratulations to the learners receiving their results today.

“Today, they can reap the rewards of all their hard work, and I wish them all well as they continue their own personal journeys, either in further education or employment.”

Gaynor Davies, Director of Education and Inclusion Services for Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, said: “We are immensely proud of our learners and what they’ve achieved this year. Our learners and teachers have worked tirelessly to secure these positive outcomes and today is a celebration of the successes achieved. It has been wonderful to see so many happy faces in our educational settings today. If you did not achieve what you had hoped or are unsure about next steps, please ensure that you seek advice and guidance from a member of school staff so that you can secure the right future pathway for you.”

The Council rightly recognises all the positive achievements of Rhondda Cynon Taf’s schools and learners, with many securing university admissions, further education places, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives.
