Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is delighted to announce that its incredibly popular Graduate Scheme is now open for applications.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council prides itself on providing quality employment opportunities, and its Graduate Scheme is the perfect platform to a successful career in many different service areas.

There are 9 Graduate positions available to apply for, ranging from civil engineering and health and safety to accountancy and project management.

Councillor Maureen Webber, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Deputy Leader, said: “I'm thrilled to announce the launch of our 2025 Graduate Scheme!

"Our Graduate Scheme has been a tremendous success each year, with quality candidates being recognised and beginning their careers with us.

"As one of the largest employers in Rhondda Cynon Taf, the Council understands the importance of creating valued, well-paid jobs that offer ample learning opportunities for our residents.

"As a local authority, we provide a wide range of services to the public, and our latest Graduate opportunities reflect this diversity. We have positions available in many areas, including finance, project management, property, and health and safety.

"I hope the essential work and public service our staff perform daily will inspire many graduates to consider joining us and working for Rhondda Cynon Taf Council."

The Council has a strong record of providing employment opportunities through a range of employment schemes, since 2020 the Council has employed 102 Graduate Officers with over 70% remaining to work within the Council. Many Graduates from previous years have progressed into management positions and heads of service within the Council.

Graduate placements are a two-year fixed work placement, during which time opportunities are given to develop management skills in a dynamic and varied organisation, as well as gaining a Project Management Level 4 qualification, all whilst being fully supported by a Co-Ordinator.

Graduate Officer – Accountancy

Graduate Officer – Building Surveyor

Graduate Officer – Civil Engineering

Graduate Officer – Construction Project Management

Graduate Officer – Electrical Engineer

Graduate Officer – Health and Safety

Graduate Officer – Mechanical Engineer

Graduate Officer – Property Information and Compliance

Graduate Officer – Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC)
