The Council will complete a traffic signal replacement in Trebanog, scheduled during the school half term week to minimise disruption.
The works will take place at the pictured junction where Trebanog Road, Rhiwgarn Road and Edmondstown Road meet.
The existing traffic signals need replacing as an essential measure. New LED signals will be installed, as a more energy-efficient alternative.
The new installations will also include upgraded vehicle detection to improve the junction’s operation, and new monitoring equipment.
Work will get underway from Sunday, February 23 – lasting one week in total.
Temporary four-way traffic signals will be used at the junction while the permanent signals are being upgraded, along with temporary pedestrian crossing points.
Centregreat Ltd is the appointed contractor for the scheme, which is funded via the Council’s 2024/25 Highways Capital Programme.
There may be some unavoidable traffic delays during the peak travel periods – thanks to road users and the community in advance for your cooperation.
