Get ready to savour the flavours of Wales at the Big Welsh Bite Food and Drink Festival, returning to Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd, on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August, from 11am to 5pm each day. This much-loved food and drink festival promises a feast for all the senses — and best of all, entry and entertainment are completely free!
The celebrated food and drink festival took a break in 2024 to make way for the National Eisteddfod of Wales but it’s back with a bang in 2025! The Big Welsh Bite showcases the best in Welsh food, drink, and entertainment. With over 70 local and regional food producers, visitors can explore a vibrant array of street food, artisan treats, farm-fresh produce, and culinary crafts — perfect for foodies, families, and curious tasters alike.

From mouth watering desserts to loaded fries, there is something to tickle everyone’s tastebuds. Head to the food and drink village for an array for street food and traditional treats. Vegan and gluten free offers are also on the menu.
Live Cookery Demonstrations from Big Welsh Bite resident chef Geoff Tookey and Tik Tok sensation That “Batch” Cooking Debie!
Geoff will be on hand cooking up a storm on the demonstration stage on Saturday 2nd August. He will be joined on Sunday 3rd August by TikTok sensation That “Batch” Cooking Debie who will be showing us how to batch cook affordable budget meals for the whole family.
FREE Arena Entertainment including:
RCT Leisure for Life’s team brings fitness to the park with a morning session of fitness classes to start your day! These will take place at 11am each day in the show arena. Join in and work up an appetite!
Madness Events bring their one-of-a-kind gravity-defying stunt show to the Big Welsh Bite for the first time. Prepare to be amazed by stunts and tricks performed by British champion athletes and British stunt registered stunts people who will be showcasing their incredible skills on a trampoline wall.
It's another first in the Big Welsh Bite arena as Mythical Adventures’ towering 7-foot Dragon takes to the arena! This act will leave you wondering if dragons really are just the stuff of myth and legend….
No we’re not quackers but these guys are! Join Steven Longton as he carries on the Longton family tradition of training, working and trialling sheepdogs. Watch the skills of a working sheep dog in action in a captive display of precision, agility and teamwork.
Local dance group SK Dance will be taking to the arena demonstrating their energetic routines, with mixed age abilities come along and see what the power of dance can achieve.
Beer garden
Soak up the atmosphere, sit back and relax in our licenced beer garden featuring locally brewed cider, gin, ale, lager and hand-crafted cocktails. Enjoy a tipple on site in this designated area,or purchase sealed units to take home and enjoy at your leisure.
Craft and information stalls
From beautiful hand made gifts to unique and quirky crafts, there’s something for everyone at our craft village. Here you will also find an array or charity, information and support services from healthy eating to how you can get involved in community organisations in your area.
Street Entertainment
Keep an eye throughout the weekend for our buzzing bees and giant fruit. Don’t forget to grab a selfie with the giant stilt-walking chef!
All the fun of the Fair
Hold on tight as you take a spin on the teacups or whiz around on the runaway train ride. See how high you can bounce on the trampolines or just grab a candy floss. The Big Welsh Bite Fun Fair is always a favourite! This all adds up to a mouthwatering weekend of family-friendly fun in the beautiful surrounds of Yysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd.
