How can it possibly be that time of year again already?!
Lido Ponty is getting ready for its main season, which starts on Saturday, April 12 – the perfect start to the Easter Holidays!
Tickets for all sessions from April 12 up to, and including, Sunday, June 2 will be on sale from 9am on Tuesday, April 1.
The first two weeks of this period are the Easter holidays, meaning Lido Ponty is open seven days a week, offering two early morning swim sessions in the main and activity pools, followed by six family fun sessions where all three pools are open and the inflatables/water zorb and pedal boats are out.
Once the Easter holidays are over, from Monday, April 28, Lido Ponty returns to its familiar term-time timetable, offering two early morning swims on weekdays and two early morning swims, followed by six family fun sessions, on weekends.
That timetable remains in place until the Whitsun Half term, with two early morning swims and six family fun sessions every day of the week from Saturday May 24 to Sunday, June 2.
More information on sessions and times after this date, plus additional ticket releases, will be released soon.

The return of the main season follows another brilliant season of cold water swims, which continue to grow in popularity. People from across Wales and beyond travelled to Rhondda Cynon Taf to swim in the outdoor pools of Lido Ponty, amid the stunning surroundings of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park.
While pool temperatures were set at 15 degrees, they will return to 28 degrees for the main season!
Boxing Day and New Year’s Day swims also made a welcome return, selling out within hours of tickets going on sale.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said: “It’s one of the best times of the year as we look forward to visiting beautiful Lido Ponty for its main season.
“We love our Lido Lot, who join us for early morning swims and weekend family fun sessions and treasure Lido Ponty as much as we do.
“It’s wonderful to see people of all ages enjoy Lido Ponty and, as the season progresses and the timetable is extended, even more people arrive for relaxed day-time swims and after-school fun.
“These visitors also take advantage of the wider surroundings of Lido Ponty, spending time in beautiful Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and the Lido Play adventure playground and enjoying food, drink, shopping and history in award-winning Pontypridd town centre.
“The 2025 season looks set to be another busy one for the team at Lido Ponty, who work tirelessly to ensure everyone has the best-possible experience. We look forward to welcoming return customers and new visitors this year.”
