Please note, the ongoing closure of Duke Street Car Park in Aberdare will be extended until later in the week, as the very wet recent weather has impacted upon progress.
The ongoing scheme is delivering pedestrian access and drainage improvements, to future-proof the town centre facility.
The current closure is needed to complete the final resurfacing element, and today (November 17) was the last day of the advertised closure.
However, the nature of the resurfacing work requires fair weather, and the past week has been very wet – including the Amber weather warning, Storm Claudia, on Friday.
Therefore, Duke Street Car Park will remain closed from tomorrow (Tuesday, November 18) for the work to be completed.
The Council will issue further progress updates in the days ahead, and a new re-opening date will be communicated once finalised.
