Residents in Llwyncelyn will notice works activity over the coming weeks, to deliver a series of drainage improvements at Nythbran Terrace.
The works are funded through Welsh Government’s Small Scales Works Grant Programme, along with a match-funding contribution from the Council.
The improvements will aim to tackle a known issue in this street, which has experienced flooding in recent years – including most-recently during Storm Bert in November 2024.
The work will begin on Monday, November 3, and will last approximately five weeks in total.
It will aim to correct several defects within the culverted watercourse network at Nythbran Terrace, associated with the Nant Llwyncelyn.
The Council’s contractor Arch Drainage Ltd has assessed the condition of the infrastructure which requires a series of structural repairs – which will shortly commence.
Overall disruption is expected to be minimal – however, local traffic management will be used on occasions when the contractor needs to access manholes in the highway.
Thanks to the community in advance for your cooperation while these essential works take place.
