A Rhondda Cynon Taf resident is set to live out a lifelong dream this summer as he takes to the stage alongside some of his musical heroes at the sold-out RCT 90’s Summer Party!

Mark Loverush, who performs under the stage name Rocco Lino, will perform at the RCT 90s Summer Party event with an electrifying DJ set packed with singalong anthems, marking his first time performing in RCT!

Now based in Mountain Ash, Mark’s musical journey has taken him across the world, from London to Las Vegas and Hollywood. Since moving to Wales with his partner Lee, he has continued to build his career in both music and entertainment, appearing in major TV series including Bridgerton and Peaky Blinders.

Most recently, Mark has been working closely with 90s dance icon and performer at the 90’s Summer Party, Whigfield, releasing a rework of her track ‘SUGA, which launched in early April.

Mark said: “I grew up listening to Whigfield and so many of the artists performing at this event, so to now be sharing the stage with them in my local area is incredible. It really is a dream come true.”

Working under the creative direction of Luv Foundation UK, Mark has also collaborated with a range of well-known artists and groups, including 90s acts Cappella, Shanie Campbell (Alex Party), Berri, Mary Kiani (The Time Frequency) and Colette Van Sertima, bringing a modern edge to big 90s dance tracks!

The RCT 90’s Summer Party, which sold out in just 10 days, is set to bring 6,000 people into Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and will be one of the biggest events of the year!

Speaking about the upcoming event, Mark added: “Events like this are so important for RCT. They bring the community together, create an amazing atmosphere, and give people the chance to relive some of their best memories.”

Councillor Scott Emanuel, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: "The RCT 90's Summer Party is shaping up to be a fantastic addition to our summer events programme, and it's especially pleasing to see local talent like Mark Loverush sharing the stage with some of the decade's most iconic artists.

"Mark's journey from music fan to performing alongside acts he grew up listening to is a great story, and we're delighted that this sold-out event can provide a platform for local performers as well as bringing world-class entertainment to Pontypridd!

"With thousands of people set to attend, it's going to be a brilliant celebration of music, nostalgia and community spirit."

The event will feature a lineup of iconic acts, including big 90’s names such as East 17, Kenny Thomas, Heather Small and Jon and Jo of S Club, alongside local talent CADOG and 90’s Rewind. This event is guaranteed to be a day full of nostalgia, music and dancing!
