Is that sleigh bells we hear? Santa’s Toy Mine is back! From Saturday 21 November to Thursday 24 December 2026, Rhondda Heritage Park Museum transforms into a festive wonderland where families and school groups can embark on a heartwarming adventure to find Santa deep within the magical mine!

Santa’s Toy Mine
Join our toy miners on a journey bursting with festive wonder and excitement...
Follow your toy miner guide deep into Santa’s Toy Mine, where you’ll meet more merry miners and uncover magical surprises around every corner. And when you reach the end, you’ll meet the big man yourself!

Santa's Family Grotto
New for this season, gather your loved ones and enjoy an exclusive private visit with Santa. It's the perfect way to create treasured festive memories together.
A twinkling trail of lights will lead you to Santa's cosy grotto, where a warm welcome and plenty of Christmas cheer await!
To make every visit truly special, you'll have the opportunity to share a few details about your children when booking, including their names, favourite toys, and other festive secrets. Santa will use this information to create a wonderfully personal experience, making each child feel extra special on their visit.
Before saying goodbye, each child will receive a magical bell from Santa himself which can be taken to Santa's Toy Shop, where they can choose their very own gift fresh from the production line in Santa's workshop in return for their bell.
Be sure to bring your biggest Christmas smiles! The whole family is welcome to join Santa for a festive photograph, creating a lasting memory of your magical visit. Photo packages can be pre-purchased during booking or purchased on the day, with a range of print options available.
Please Note: The Santa’s Family Grotto experience does not include entry to the full Santa's Toy Mine Tour. This event will last approximately 15 minutes.
Maximum of 4 children per booking, adults unlimited up to a total group size of 20. If you do have more than 4 children then please contact us on 01443 682036 to discuss options for the booking.
Story Time with Santa
Join one of our Toy Miners and Santa for a cosy storytelling session filled with Christmas cheer.
What’s Included:
There’s also an opportunity for festive photos with Santa which can be purchased in advance or on the day.
Please note: The story time sessions do not include the full toy mine tour.
School Tours
Schools can book week-day tours between 10am and 2pm - a fantastic, festive, educational outing!
