Hospices provide care specifically for terminally ill people and give support to their carers both in the hospice and at home.
Admission is arranged through your doctor or hospital consultant. Some private nursing and rest homes also specialise in the care of the terminally ill. Your doctor or hospital consultant can give you information about local hospices and specialist in-patient units.
Alternatively, the hospice information service section of the Help the Hospices website provides information and an enquiry service to help patients, families and carers to gain the appropriate services.
