Rhondda Cynon Taf Council offer an effective pest control service for a variety of pests in Local Authority premises, empty social housing / privately rented properties and communal areas in social housing / privately rented properties.
Please note: The council does not currently provide a Pest Control Service for commercial premises and businesses
Due to current demands on the service we are currently experiencing delays in attending properties for Pest Control treatment and are not able to guarantee that we will make the 1st visit within 2 days.
Please note: From the 1st April 2023, the Council will only be providing pest control treatments for rats, mice, cockroaches and bedbugs

What happens after booking a treatment?
The Council aims to carry out all Pest Control Visits within 2 working days and you will be telephoned to arrange a suitable date to visit.
The Council's Pest Control Officer will visit between 9.00am and 16.00pm Monday to Friday. (Arrangements to visit will be made for AM or PM)
What is covered in the price for different pest types?
Rats/Mice
The charge covers up to 3 visits to deal with the current problem. If more than 3 visits are required a further payment will need to be made.
The above charge includes an initial visit to determine and treat the problem, followed by 2 additional visits, if deemed necessary. On the final visit any remaining poison will be removed in accordance with the rodenticide stewardship scheme to protect wildlife and non-target species.
Bed bugs
The charge covers you for two full treatments of all sleeping areas in the property. The second visit should be carried out 2 weeks from the first. Householders must follow advice given in order for treatment to be effective.
If additional treatment is required it will be necessary to book further treatment
Cockroaches
The charge covers a maximum 3 treatment visits. The Pest Control Officer will advise the recommended period between visits.

Cancelling your appointment.
We have a limited number of Pest Control Officer and they will try their hardest to keep their appointments with you - we would be grateful if you would do the same.
If you are unable to keep an appointment please let us know prior to the visit by calling 01443 425001 as soon as possible to arrange a suitable alternative appointment.
Missed appointments
If you miss an agreed pest control appointment a calling card will be left at your property. If you are scheduled for multiple visit this will count as one of your visits. If two visits are missed, your treatment will be cancelled - further treatment will be charged as per the costs above.
For treatments of rats, mice and cockroaches there are a maximum of 3 visits. Any missed pre–arranged appointment will count as a visit.
Refunds
Cancellations with a full refund can only be made prior to the visit of the Pest Control Officer by calling 01443 425001. If a Pest Control Officer calls at your property following a pre arranged booking then no refund can be made
