This Strategy sets out the strategic priorities of Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council and its partner agencies for homelessness prevention and alleviation and housing related support services over the next four years (2022-26).
The priorities for the delivery of the housing support programme and Homelessness Prevention and Alleviation services have been informed by both the local and regional needs assessment and the stakeholder engagement that have been undertaken. It has also been informed by national, regional and local wider policy requirements such as the move to rapid rehousing and our learning from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Strategic Priority 1:
Strengthening early intervention and prevention approaches and specialised support to prevent homelessness
Strategic Priority 2:
Ensuring people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness access the right home at the right time and in the right place, as part of our Rapid Rehousing approach.
Strategic Priority 3:
Providing high quality support to people who are or may become homeless, fully utilising available technology and ensuring effective cross-agency working.
Strategic Priority 4:
Work collaboratively to provide holistic, person-centred support with effective specialist interventions where necessary.
