Assisted bin collections

An assisted bin collection is for people who struggle to take their bins to their normal collection point and have no one who can help.

How it works

You can apply to have your bins collected from a place that is easier to take your bins to. This could be your front door, driveway, garden or side entrance. After you apply we will contact you to discuss your application.

Who is it for

You could need help in the long or short term. You could be:

  • disabled
  • elderly
  • recovering from an operation

We can help with collecting the following bins:

  • Black bags (not in wheelie bins)
  • Recycling bags
  • Food recycling bin
  • Green waste sacks
  • Incontinence bags
  • Nappy bags

We cannot collect bins from:

  • inside your house
  • long distances
  • areas that are difficult to access
  • wheelie bins

If you are unsure if you are eligible, submit an application and we will discuss what options are available to you.
