The Overview and Scrutiny Committee co-ordinates the work of the four thematic scrutiny committees and ensures that the work of each of these committees is effective. This committee is also responsible for dealing with all ‘Call-ins’ and is the Council’s designated Crime and Disorder Committee (under Sections 19 and 20 of the Police and Justice Act, 2006).
Non Committee Members and Members of the public may request the facility to address the Committee at their meetings on the business listed although facilitation of this request is at the discretion of the Chair.
