The Cabinet is required by the Constitution to meet a minimum of twelve times during a year. Cabinet meetings are advertised in advance on this website.
Cabinet meetings are held in public in line with the Council’s Open Government policies and anyone is welcome to attend. Under the Leader’s Scheme of Delegation, several Cabinet Committees are also constituted and meet as and when required.
Details of upcoming and previous meetings of the Cabinet and its Committees can be found by viewing each of the following:
Under the Council’s Constitution, some decisions are delegated to Chief Officers to be taken in consultation with the relevant Cabinet Member.
Details can be found at our Delegated Decisions pages.
