Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is proud to support the return of the Rhondda Arts Festival (RAFT), taking place in Treorchy from 10–12 July 2026. Through grant funding and the provision of key community venues including the Park & Dare Theatre and Treorchy Library, the Council is helping to bring a vibrant weekend of creativity, culture and community activity to the Rhondda.
Recognised as the Rhondda’s flagship arts festival, RAFT will deliver a diverse programme of theatre, live music, dance, film, visual arts, photography and family activities, celebrating the area’s rich cultural heritage and creative talent. The festival will make full use of both the iconic Park & Dare Theatre and Treorchy Library, ensuring accessible and welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike.
The programme showcases a strong mix of local artists alongside some of Wales’ most exciting creative voices. Highlights include performances by Taking Flight Theatre Company, live music from The Rogues, Kizzy Crawford and Mari Mathias, a Silent Disco hosted by Ladies of Rage, and a photography exhibition featuring the work of Jon Pountney, Elijah Thomas and other local artists.
A major highlight will be the screening of ‘Madfabulous’, starring Callum Scott Howells. The screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session, offering audiences the opportunity to hear directly from one of the Rhondda’s most successful creative talents.
