The focus of active travel measures and legislation is on facilitating everyday short-distance walking and cycling journeys to work, school and other local destinations. Walking and cycling can encourage healthier lifestyles, create more vibrant communities, and improve air quality.
The Council has recently updated its Integrated Network Map (INM) to create an Active Travel Network Map (ATNM) which shows existing
walking and cycling routes and where improvements or new routes are proposed. The ATNM has now been submitted to Welsh Government for approval.
Public engagement is an important part of the development of an active travel scheme as it provides the opportunity for you to comment and contribute to the proposals.
