Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council are looking to collect and collate information relating to the flood event affecting the county borough area between 23-24th November 2024 during Storm Bert.
As part of this the Council intend to record accounts of the flooding from the local community to help us better understand and validate our assessment of the flood event and the work to assess what measures/actions might be taken to reduce the impact of future flood events.
Local residents and businesses will be asked to complete a survey, and the responses provided will be collected and used by the Council for the sole purpose of producing factual reports into the flooding that occurred, delivering our statutory requirements under Section 19 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and to help the potential development of future flood alleviation schemes.
Any information provided will only be used for the purposes for which it was supplied (as identified above). All personal data will be handled in accordance with the Council’s Data Protection Policy and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). No personal information will be contained in the report.
