Heritage in Rhondda Cynon Taf: Have your say

ALTERED IMAGES SIG3 - Colour NLHF
Our heritage provides us a sense of belonging, it gives us both our unique sense of identity and also helps us understand who we are today. Preserving our past allows us to learn more about the people and cultures that came before us, it allows us to understand their values and traditions. In the words of miner’s leader Dai Francis, ‘how do you know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been?’

Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Altered Images project, RCTCBC’S Heritage Service are creating a new ten-year Heritage Strategy (2025-2035). Involving the public and including the opinions of as many community groups and individuals as possible is vitally important and the ideas collected in this survey will be key in informing how we engage with our past over the next decade and beyond.

The consultation closed on the 9th February 2024.
