During Carers Week (June 5-11) Rhondda Cynon Taf Council will be supporting people with unpaid caring duties.
Our RCT Carers Support Project will be hosting a range of events throughout the week in recognition of the work, dedication and commitment of all unpaid carers, who make huge contributions to our local communities.
Councillor Gareth Caple, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Cabinet Member for Health & Social Care, said: “Carers Week 2023 gives us the opportunity to give all our unpaid carers the recognition they deserve. Anyone can have caring responsibilities and RCT Carers Support Project is here to offer support to those people.
“Unpaid carers are often under considerable pressure, juggling work, caring responsibilities, and very often family life also. I hope as many people as possible will come along and join in the many activities and events we have on offer during Carers Week 2023 to help them with their work-life balance.”
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
