Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a packed day of entertainment as Aberdare Festival returns to Aberdare Park on Saturday 23 May, from 11am to 5pm. Entry is free, so come along and enjoy!
The much-loved event is a highlight of the Rhondda Cynon Taf events calendar, offering a full day of family-friendly activities, live performances and attractions for all ages.
Visitors can look forward to a wide range of entertainment across the park, including a bilingual puppet show, fun fair, the return of the popular land train, balloon modelling and a jam-packed live music programme on our main stage! The event will also feature performances from local dance and dram groups – Streetwise and Kinetic school of performing arts. Alongside this, a variety of craft, food and information stalls will take over the beautiful grounds of Aberdare Park, so grab your picnic blanket and make a day of it!
Our free live music stage has a brilliant line up this year and features some of the best UK tribute acts to the world’s most popular artists, including:
- Bruno Mars Tribute
- Taylor Swift Tribute
- Harry Styles tribute
- K Pop Tribute
And there’s more! We are pleased to open the stage with TV personality and Welsh education favourite Martyn Geraint, who will open the morning segment of the live stage with his high energy, bilingual puppet show. An unmissable show for both Welsh and English speakers! Martyn will then double up as your host for the day, bringing high energy and family fun throughout the sets!
