Please be advised, the ongoing scheme to replace the street lighting on the A473 at Talbot Green has now been completed ahead of schedule.
Works have been progressing over the past three weekends – focusing on the section between the Lanelay Road roundabout and the A4222 Cowbridge Road junction (near Leekes).
Due to good progress made, the advertised lane closures for the coming weekend (August 15-16) are now not required.
The completed scheme has replaced the street lighting columns and lanterns along this key section of road, as they had reached the end of their intended design life – further details about the work can be found on the previous news item.
The scheme was funded via the Council’s Highways and Engineering Capital Programme for 2026/27, and were delivered by Council contractors Centregreat Ltd and Yunux Traffic.
