Have your say about improving Pontypridd Bus Station over the weeks ahead

Pontypridd Bus Station 2026 - Copy

The Council will soon be asking the public for their views about improving the infrastructure at the main bus station in Pontypridd – your input will be important to shape the plans!

Welsh Government has awarded funding from its Regional Transport Grant to carry out investigation and design work towards the future scheme. To help inform the scheme’s design, the Council will shortly be undertaking a local consultation, which includes a survey for bus station users to complete.

The survey will be available online – alternatively, look out for staff members at the station in the weeks ahead. They will attend periodically to assist bus users to complete the survey in person.

In addition, paper copies will be available at local venues including Pontypridd Library at Llys Cadwyn. The exercise will also be advertised on posters at the bus station, with a QR code taking you to the survey.

The consultation will begin on Tuesday, June 23, and will remain open until Monday, July 20. From Tuesday, the survey and additional information will be available on the ‘Consultations’ section of the Council’s website. We’ll also promote the exercise regularly on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

All feedback is welcomed, and will be considered to shape the design work for future improvements to Pontypridd Bus Station. Please note that comments made on social media cannot be used in the consultation – you will need to complete the survey to formally have your say.

Delivering the improvement scheme in the future will be subject to a further grant bid.

Thanks in advance to residents and bus users for taking part.
