What you should know

  • Green waste items should be placed in to a CLEAR recycling bag - and not be placed in to the same bag as your weekly household recycling.
  • During the winter months (first Monday in November to last Friday in March) your green waste will be collected fortnightly on the same day as your black bag/bin collection day, but not at the same time.
  • The Council's Community Recycling Centres  are open 7 days a week from 8am - 5.30pm (Nov-Apr), 8am - 7.30pm (Apr-Oct) and will accept green waste recycling. Please note there may be changes to opening hours over the festive period.

What can I recycle?

Please note:

  • The green waste recycling service is for the residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf, not businesses such as landscape gardeners.
  • During the festive season an online booking system will be introduced for 'real' Christmas tree kerbside collections and green waste collections are subject to change to meet the increased demand for general/food waste recycling and pre-booked 'real' Christmas tree kerbside collections.
