Community response to flood and volunteer support

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council are working in partnership with Citizens Advice, Too Good to Waste, Community Groups, Councillors and numerous individuals and services to coordinate the huge response we have had to the request for donations and volunteers.

The hard work and partnership to date, by Councillors, Council Services, Community Groups and Volunteers, has meant that most of our streets are now clear and many homes can be made ready for people to return to, with many of the Insurance Assessments completed.

Community Centres and Groups are telling us that they would now like to move some of the donations out of the centres and local distribution points, so we have established a number of Council Collection Centres plus three Distribution and Sorting Depots in RCT.

Donation drop off points - all RCT Libraries and Leisure Centres:

Some Community Centres and Groups are taking in donations, so please check the local information on Facebook or other Media for these.

Donations:

As a result of the wonderful response, we know that we have enough clothes and toys, (for now), thank you.
