You can apply online for a residential parking permit if you live within a designated Residential Parking Zone and keep and use a passenger vehicle or motorcycle on a full time basis.
Number of permits per household
All households within designated Residential Parking Zones will be entitled to one permit with any additional permits being issued following consideration of the capacity of an individual zone and / or any relevant individual or local circumstances.
A permit is valid for one year once the permit application is validated and processed by the Parking Service Department (e.g. any validation checks of residency undertaken). Please note a permit application does not guarantee a permit, please therefore await a response from the Parking Services Team prior to parking in a residential parking zone.
The Council reserves the right to exercise due discretion when considering individual and local circumstances relating to applications.
Permit charges
Permits will be issued at the following costs :
- 1st permit - £12
- 2nd permit - £17.50
