Assisted recycling and waste collections

An assisted collection is for people who struggle to take their recycling and waste to their collection point and have no one who can help.

How it works

You can apply to have your bins and bags collected from a place that is easier for you to take them to. This could be your front door, driveway, garden or side entrance.

Who is it for

You could need help in the long or short term. You could be:

  • disabled
  • elderly
  • recovering from an operation

We can help with collecting the following:

  • Black bags (not in wheelie bins)
  • Clear recycling
  • Food waste bin
  • Green waste sacks
  • Incontinence bags
  • Nappy bags

We cannot collect bags or bins from:

  • inside your house
  • long distances
  • areas that are difficult to access
  • wheelie bins

If you are unsure if you are eligible, submit an application and we will discuss what options are available to you.
