How it works
Nappy Collections are a FREE weekly service for residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf. You need to register your address to start receiving collections.
Purple nappy bags are free and delivered straight to your door. Using purple bags keeps your black bags free from nappy smells, and helps you manage your black bag allowance.
Within 2 weeks of registering, we will email you your collection day and deliver your purple bags. Collections take place weekly from your usual waste and recycling point.
Follow these instructions when putting your nappies out for collection:
- Put only used nappies, wet wipes and nappy bags in your purple bag.
- Do not use black or clear recycling bags.
- Tie the top of your bag tightly - don't overfill it.
- You can put out as many purple bags as you need each collection day.
- Check your nappy collection day after registering as it may be different to your usual bin collection day.
- Place your bag at your usual collection point by 7am.
- Your registration lasts for 3 years - you can extend your collections if needed.
If your bags are not put out for 4 weeks in a row, we will assume you no longer need the service and remove your address from collection round.

You can order more purple bags to be delivered to you home within 10 working days.

Manage your collections
Report a missed collection, extend your existing collection, change your address or cancel your collections.
Missed Collection
If you’re registered and your bags haven’t been collected by 3pm on your collection day, first check your nappy collection day to see it has changed. If it hasn’t, report the missed collection.

Extend your collections
Your registration lasts for 3 years. If you need more time, you can always extend your registration.
Change of address
Let us know at least 1 week before you move, as your collection day may change.
Cancel your collections
You can cancel your nappy collections if you no longer need them.
