Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) is regulated to reduce the amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) incinerated or sent to landfill sites.
The Workplace Recycling Regulations 2024 require non-domestic premises to recycle small electronic equipment (sWEEE). sWEEE should not be placed in wheelie bins or brown bags.
sWEEE items should fall within one of the categories of EEE listed in Schedule 3 to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Regulations 2013 (but excluding items with any external dimension of more than 50 centimetres).
sWEEE items from non-domestic premises can be disposed of and recycled at Treorchy, Aberdare and Pontypridd Library.
